Meet Harborview BBS

Harborview BBS was founded on a simple idea: small business owners deserve more than organized books. They deserve clear information, practical support, and someone who understands how the numbers connect to the day-to-day decisions that keep a business running.

Before starting Harborview BBS, I spent 25 years in the herb and spice industry, including 17 years as a Procurement Specialist managing the purchasing process from beginning to end. My work included forecasting inventory needs, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, comparing pricing and quality, negotiating purchases, coordinating receiving and quality control, managing vendor relationships, and helping set product pricing.

I managed approximately $300,000–$500,000 in annual purchasing across more than 800 products and worked with suppliers both in the United States and internationally. That experience included sourcing raw materials, navigating changing commodity markets and product shortages, coordinating with customs brokers, and balancing cost with something I believe is just as important—quality.

I also developed Excel-based tools to help forecast purchasing needs based on inventory and historical sales, participated directly in pricing decisions for more than 800 products, and worked across departments to solve the operational problems that inevitably come with running a growing business.

That experience taught me to look beyond the immediate problem. A higher expense isn't always just an accounting issue. A cheaper supplier isn't always the better supplier. And sometimes the process everyone has used for years is exactly the process that needs another look.

Today, we bring that same practical, analytical approach to Harborview.

Along with bookkeeping and QuickBooks support, Harborview BBS offers procurement and business operations support for small businesses that need an experienced second set of eyes on their numbers, vendors, costs, workflows, or purchasing processes.

Our goal isn't to tell business owners how to run their companies. It's to help them understand what's happening, identify opportunities and problems, and give them the information they need to make confident decisions.

Clear books. Better operations. Stronger decisions.
